Set in a peaceful river valley surrounded by nature, big views and lots of space, this is the ideal place to wind down and disconnect from busy city life.
If you´re feeling more active, set out on foot or by bike and discover one of Spain´s least-known natural parks, authentic white villages and hill-top medieval castles. Rooms
The 6 bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and bright and have large windows with stunning views of the mountains and olive groves. Beds are either super-king (2m x 1.80m) or twin beds, all with top-quality bedding and different weight duvets for summer and winter.
Luxury en-suite bathrooms have a “rain shower”, pool towels, hair dryer and ecological toiletries - shower gel and shampoo, handmade soap and body moisturizer. Air-conditioning in summer and underfloor heating in winter. We have one extra bed for an adult (or older child) and two folding beds for younger children, as well as a travel cot for infants, if required.
Facilities
Stunning pool terrace with amazing views of olive groves, hills and river forest. Several shadey "outdoor lounge" areas with comfy chairs and hammock to laze in. Cosy lounge with log fire in winter. Fully-stocked bar with local wines. Beautiful terrace for al-fresco dinners under the stars. Lots of off-street parking and free wi-fi throughout the house.

Discover Andalucia’s UNESCO World Heritage highlights from one comfortable base. Head out on day trips to the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Córdoba or the Renaissance cities of Ubeda & Baeza, all around an hour's drive away. Explore the Subbetica´s authentic white villages, Baroque churches, medieval hill-top castles and Roman ruins.
Hiking
Explore ancient olive groves, peaceful river valleys and hidden sierras in Andalucia on foot. Go walking along old drover´s trails or olive farmers´ tracks in the Sierras Subbeticas natural park, a UNESCO Global Geopark. Combine a scenic hike with lunch in a traditional white village, or head out from the hotel with our dog, Ruby, as your walking guide! Lots of suggested hiking routes provided with a navigation app or detailed notes and map.
Cycling
Explore the hidden sierras & ancient olive groves of Andalucia by bike. Go mountain biking amid limestone peaks in the Sierras Subbeticas, one of Spain´s least-known natural parks. Cycle along the Via Verde del Aceite, the reclaimed "Olive Train" greenway, or road cycling on mountain climbs featured in La Vuelta tour of Spain. Lots of suggested cycling routes provided with GPX files and navigation apps...
